Elana Kaplan, independent museum educator and lecturer, is back to host more virtual art tours for the Mirowitz Center. In this three-part series, Elana focuses on the special joys of summer, including how artists work to capture the light, color and energy of the season’s long days. In August, Elana – a former St. Louisan and an educator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for 25 years – concludes the series by covering some of The Met’s most memorable paintings, sculptures and decorative artwork honoring our fine-feathered friends.
