African American Art – Dale Sharon

Dale Sharon, a highly regarded docent at the Saint Louis Art Museum and an exhibited artist, for a look at African American Art, as represented in Saint Louis Art Museum’s permanent collection. There are four separate programs, exploring a different concept in each part. These programs focus mainly on African American Art as represented by the Saint Louis Art Museum. The first part introduces Black Presence in art, how the African was depicted in art through the centuries. The second and third parts will focus on African American Artists and the stellar Saint Louis Art Museum collection. In the fourth part, we will explore African influences in Modern Art.
