Tech Tutor: Accessing County Library Resources Electronically – Farid Saboorizadeh
Most of us remember when libraries were places you simply borrowed books. Today’s libraries are active places in which books are only one aspect of the services and resources they provide! With the convenience and ease modern technology affords, you can find books, movies, articles, and more for free online. Farid Saboorizadeh, go-to Staff Trainer at the St. Louis County Library, and his team present how to use the SLCL catalog. You will be introduced to encore.slcl.org and learn about searching for physical materials and placing them on hold. The presentation will also include electronic resources, specifically OneDrive, through which patrons can access eBooks, eAudiobooks, and magazines. And if that isn’t enough, you will also learn how to book a Trainer request and access movies and more available on Hoopla and Kanopy. To view this Zoom recording click here. This program is co-sponsored by the St. Louis County Library. Tech Tutor is supported by a grant from the Women’s Auxiliary Foundation for Jewish Aged.
