The Power of One, The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler – Howard Jacobson

Howard JacobsonFounder and President of Paragon Capital Management and past Board President of the JCC of Greater Kansas City and Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City, provides a presentation on Irena Sendler, a Polish humanitarian, social worker, and nurse who saved 2,500 children from the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II. 

The Power of One is a true story that was discovered in 1999 by a young girl in Kansas and shared on National History Day as a short play. Irena was nominated by both Poland and Israel for a Nobel Prize and is featured in a Hallmark Hall of Fame 2-hour documentary.
