The New Oceanic Galleries at SLAM – Nichole Bridges, Ph.D.

The St. Louis Art Museum is one of only a few in the United States which maintains and displays Oceanic art as an active component of its program. Recently, the Museum reopened to the public five completely re-envisioned galleries devoted to renowned collections of art from the Pacific Islands, including Melanesia, Hawaii, Papua and New Guinea, Australia, and New Zealand.
