| One of the secrets to aging independently in our own home is to have the appropriate furnishings. At some point, we have to recognize and acknowledge that our current décor may not meet our needs as we age. We need to think about floor covering that does not pose a danger of slipping, chairs that enable us to more easily get up or sit down, and coffee tables that are useful and not hazardous.
